Chase & Holland are delighted to support a superb client in West Yorkshire in the recruitment of Category Manager to join their multi award-winning team. The Category Manager will be instrumental in selecting and managing suppliers to ensure the maximum efficiency can be derived from the supply chain while avoiding any drop off in quality.
Purpose of Role:
You will have specifc categories within your remit, and while this isn't a direct line management role, you will be expected to play an active role in the upskilling oof junior members as well as having some informal supervisory responsibility.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Ensuring supplier contracts are robustly negotiated and best price is achieved
Engaging with suppliers and actively managing relationships
Regular monitoring of suppliers and updating lists of approvals where required
Onboarding new suppliers and offboarding of old suppliers
