Category Manager
We have a truly rare opportunity for a Category Manager to join one of the UK’s and Europe’s leading IT channel and distribution providers. Main responsibilities for the Category Manager:
* Daily monitoring of product shortages to ensure optimal product availability.
* Selection and procurement of product lines from manufacturing partners based on market relevance and business competitiveness.
* Negotiation of purchase prices with both distributors and manufacturers.
* Platform-specific pricing strategies, including the setup and calculation of selling prices.
* Cross-brand coordination and execution of project-based requests.
* Weekly planning and definition of promotional product offerings.
* Ongoing maintenance of product lines, along with product range optimisation and market analysis.
* Providing recommendations, forecasts, and strategic planning for key manufacturers and distributors.
* Working closely with Key Account Managers for customer development and relationship management.
* Comply with company policies and adhere to Health and Safety regulations to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Main Requirements for the successful Category Manager:
* Proven experience in the IT sector, ideally within a distribution or channel-focused environment
* Strong technical knowledge of IT hardware, including components, systems, and industry trends
* A high level of flexibility and adaptability, thriving in dynamic environments.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively from home and under pressure and collaborate within a team.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude in approaching challenging situations.
* Outgoing and confident personality with friendly manner and good sense of humour.

* Salary £35,000- £40,000 per annum
