Job Title: Catering Assistant – School Setting
Location: Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent
Hours: 9:45am – 2:15pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Contract: Part-time, Term Time
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our school catering team in Ebbw Vale. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to pupils, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with food hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and drinks.
*
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
*
Following food hygiene and safety regulations at all times.
*
Supporting the team to deliver healthy meals to pupils.
*
Assisting with washing up, clearing tables, and general kitchen duties.
Requirements
*
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
*
Previous catering or kitchen experience (desirable but not essential).
*
Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.
*
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
*
A DBS check may be required due to the school setting.
