We’ve partnered with a prestigious client in Cambridge to find a dynamic Chef Manager to join their tight-knit team. This hybrid role is a perfect blend of hands-on kitchen leadership (50%) and strategic back-office coordination (50%) — no two days are ever the same!
💼 The Role at a Glance
You’ll take the reins of daily operations, guide a passionate kitchen team, deliver top-tier food experiences, and lead performance on both the culinary and business fronts.
🍽️ What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing delicious hot and cold dishes for breakfast, salad bar, and lunchtime service
*
Leading and coordinating your team with confidence and care
*
Planning, delegating, and ensuring all food is prepared to high standards using set recipes
*
Managing hospitality for events and internal functions
*
Keeping stock fresh and organised, placing orders, and handling paperwork like a pro
*
Handling customer feedback and turning challenges into opportunities
*
Mentoring team members and fostering growth through hands-on training
*
Building strong client relationships and reporting monthly operational & financial performance

A good grasp of stock rotation, ordering, and P&L processes

Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

*
The ability to pass full DBS and security vetting
