CCTV Operator
Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1
Pay Rate: £14.08 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Average 42 hours per week 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Shift Type: Days and Nights
About the Role
We are currently seeking a professional and reliable CCTV Operator / Security Officer to join our clients dedicated security team This is a key position responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and retailers.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor CCTV systems and respond promptly to incidents or alarms
* Manage site access control and maintain accurate access/egress records
* Maintain daily logbooks and registers
* Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly service
* Notify relevant staff upon visitor arrival and manage appointment tracking
* Answer telephone calls and handle enquiries appropriately
* Handle mail and deliveries efficiently
* Assist visitors upon departure, including arranging transportation if needed
* Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
* Monitor and authorise entry and exit of employees and visitors
* Contact emergency services when required
* Check alarm circuits and ensure building systems are functioning properly
* Uphold high standards of presentation and housekeeping in the control room
Requirements

Valid SIA Security Licence (essential)
*
CCTV Licence (essential)
*
Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
*
Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal
*
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
*
Confident in using computers and operating CCTV systems
*
Professional appearance and conduct at all times
*
Ability to work independently (lone working required)
