We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Fundraiser to join their team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is proactive, motivated, and passionate about supporting the local community.

A well-established local charity, founded in 1990, committed to improving lives in the community. With the generous support of local businesses and individuals, they've distributed over £2 million in grants to individuals, families, community groups, and small charities and have a current annual grant giving target of £100,000.
We are seeking a part-time Fundraiser to join this small but brilliant team. This role focuses on fundraising and income generation while also supporting general administration and events. You will work closely with the Charity Manager and the Board of Trustees.
The role is based in their offices in Stevenage with the flexibility of home working by arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chair, Vice Chair and Trustees
Reporting to the Membership Committee
Focusing on income generation through corporate and personal memberships, donations and sponsorship
Visiting and meeting with local businesses and networking within the trust
Being an ambassador for the trust by raising the charities profile and increasing awareness
Managing relationships with partners, funding bodies and service users
Meeting regularly with and reporting directly to a board of trustees
Event planning and coordination - representing the charity at meetings and events including annual golf day, black-tie dinner and local community events
Manage and improve social media presence
Work closely with charity sponsors
Appoint and retain volunteers to help grow the personal and corporate membership base
Provide comprehensive and professional administrative tasks
Drafting of reports and other written documents
Manage marketing materials including working with the Charity Grants Manager to produce an annual report and regular newsletters
Working closely with Charity Grants Manager and providing support where necessary
Covering holiday and sick leaveCandidate Qualities and Experience
Ability to generate income
Experience in fundraising, sales or customer service roles
Good face to face communication & people skills
IT literate with a variety of software packages
Experience in event organising, marketing and PR
Excellent organisational skills, numeracy & report writing
Hours of work: Typically, Monday - Friday / 20-25 hours per week (school friendly hours)
Salary: Starting from £28,000 pro rata
