️ Cook - College Catering | Basingstoke | £29,000-£30,000 | Immediate Start
A respected educational institution in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to join its in-house catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional who takes pride in creating wholesome, nutritious meals and enjoys working in a structured, daytime setting.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook daily meals for students and staff in line with planned menus and dietary guidelines
Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the kitchen
Assist in planning menus and contributing fresh ideas for meal improvements
Collaborate with the wider team to deliver smooth and efficient service
🔹 Candidate Profile:
Previous experience in a similar cook or chef role, ideally in an educational or contract catering setting
Strong understanding of food hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Safety certification preferred)
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage prep during service times
A friendly, team-focused attitude with a genuine passion for good food

Salary between £29,000-£30,000, based on experience
Daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with limited evening or weekend shifts
