Chef - £15.00-£16.00 per hour | Fantastic work-life balance in Southampton
Looking for a role where you can lead the kitchen while still enjoying your personal time? Join as a Chef at a members-only sailing club in Southampton, with autonomy over menus and the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills.
About the role
As the Chef, you'll oversee the kitchen, managing the assistant chef and kitchen porter while ensuring every dish meets high standards. From pub classics to special theme nights, you'll create quality meals in a supportive environment. With a focus on work-life balance, this role allows you to work evenings and weekends flexibly, giving you space to enjoy life outside the kitchen.

Average 35 hours per week
Only 4 evenings a week (functions dependent)
Saturdays off unless a function is booked and only 1 Sunday per month

Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of the kitchen while delivering excellent food and service:
Manage the kitchen team, including the assistant chef and kitchen porter
Plan menus and manage costs to ensure efficiency without compromising quality
Prepare and cook high-quality pub food and special theme night dishes
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
Ensure smooth daily kitchen operations while adhering to food safety standards
