🍳 RADAAS Ltd – Hiring Now: Chef (Southampton – Swanwick Secure Home)
RADAAS Ltd is recruiting an experienced Chef for a secure children’s home in Swanwick, Southampton. This is a meaningful role preparing safe, healthy, and nutritious meals for young people aged 11–17 with varied dietary needs.

🔹 Role Overview
You will prepare balanced meals, manage dietary requirements, and ensure the highest levels of food hygiene and safety.
Supporting the Chef Manager, you will also help plan menus, manage stock, and maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Prepare nutritious meals and oversee daily kitchen operations
Supervise catering assistants and allocate daily tasks
Collaborate with the Home Manager and care team
Order food stock, manage budgets, and check deliveries
Ensure all meals meet dietary, allergy, and IDDSI guidelines
Maintain food hygiene, safety compliance, and complete records
Support with special events (birthdays, Christmas, theme days)
Keep kitchen equipment safe and report any faults
Maintain high cleanliness standards and encourage recycling
Show compassion toward residents and attend relevant meetings
Deputies for the Chef Manager when required
Work flexibly to cover holidays and sickness
🔹 Essential Requirements
Level 2 Food & Cooking (or equivalent)
Level 2 Food Safety (or willing to complete within 3 months)
Allergen awareness
Enhanced Child & Adult DBS
Understanding of responsibilities when caring for vulnerable young people
Desirable:
Level 2/3 in Diet & Nutrition
