Chef de Partie / Hospital Chef | Elland Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week |
Spire Elland has a great opportunity for a Chef to come and join there busy catering department
As Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering a first-class dining experience for our patients, staff and visitors. You'll prepare and present nutritious, high-quality meals whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service.
Working closely with the Head Chef and wider hospitality team, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen and deputise when required.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
* Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality meals for patients, staff and visitors
* Supporting the delivery of specialist dietary requirements and nutritional needs
* Maintaining excellent standards of food presentation and service
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP and health & safety procedures
* Assisting with stock control, deliveries and kitchen administration
* Supporting catering for meetings and special events
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital
Who are we looking for?
We're keen to hear from chefs who are passionate about producing high-quality food and delivering excellent customer service.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in a busy catering, hospitality or healthcare environment
* Experience preparing meals for large numbers of people
* A Level 3 Food Safety qualification
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A positive and flexible approach
* The ability to work effectively under pressure
* A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene
