Job Description
Chef on RAF Base
Shifts work required.
12 Months
Own Car required
We are looking for Chefs already located commutable distance from RAF Waddington
As a Chef you are responsible for the competent delivery of food services. You will be responsible tfor Catering Flight and their deputies via Mess Management direction and rostering.
• Operating varied shift working patterns between daily food services, daytime & evening functions and bar ser-vices alongside possible reception and accommodation management duties
• Operate alongside service personnel & the industry partners to ensure catering services are provided to RAF Waddington.
• Operate & comply with all relevant statutory legislation and local orders
• Undertake accurate cash handling and profit protection procedures
• Undertake stock taking procedure
• Undertake basic IT input tasks
• Undertake basic administrative tasks
• Ensure you are dressed correctly and adhere to the highest standards of hygiene
• Ensure the correct PPE is worn
• Adhere to all safe systems of work including UK food safety/Health & safety legislation and ESS safety systems & risk assessments
• Maintain the highest standards of customer service & hospitality
• Remain fully current in all required job competencies / KPIs as directed in local orders
• Maintain a high security awareness and reporting culture
Essential:
• Previous experience working as chef
• Fine dining experience
• Previous experience in bulk catering and daily food production
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Food safety level 2 training
• City & Guilds 706/or 706/2 qualification / min NVQ in catering & hospitality.
Desirable:
• Experience of working in a military environmentBefore You Apply
