Job Overview
We are seeking a Chef , Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in cookng, food production and preparation. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and this role will involve working with children.
Starting Salary: £27,000pa - £28,000pa + Bonus, paid holidays and further training, career progression opportunities.
Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food production and service.
* Prepare and cook healthy dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
* Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
* Use different cooking techniques, food preparation, and follow safety protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a similar setting
* Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for culinary arts, creativity in menu development, and presentation.
* Previous experience in food production and serving is advantageous.
* Communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
