Chemist / Quality Controller
Location: Swinton (M27)
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Hours:
*
Training period: 7:00am – 3:00pm
*
After training: 6:00am – 2:00pm (some flexibility available)
About the Role
We’re looking for a diligent and technically minded Chemist / QC Technician to join our team in Swinton. This is a hands-on role working with chemicals, liquids and powders, ensuring products meet the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out routine and non-routine testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products
*
Prepare, analyse and record data with strong attention to accuracy
*
Produce clear, detailed QC reports using digital systems
*
Follow laboratory procedures and maintain high safety standards
*
Handle various chemicals, powders and liquid formulations
*
Operate laboratory equipment and ensure correct calibration
*
Support continuous improvement within the QC function
About You
*
Experience in a laboratory, chemistry or QC environment (preferred)
*
Confident working with chemicals and lab equipment
*
Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new technology
*
Excellent reporting, documentation and organisational skills
*
Diligent, accurate and able to follow procedures precisely
