Our client is recognised as the leading paint innovator in New Zealand. They pride themselves on providing high quality, leading edge coatings to the architectural, marine, automotive and indsutrial markets. They have a vacancy in their well-established Research and Development team and are looking for a Chemist to work on all aspects of product development.
Responsibilities;
* Lead development of industrial coatings, particularly epoxy, polyurethane and polyaspartic systems
* Develop and optimise innovative coatings formulations for a wide range of applications
* Conduct lab-based testing and scale-up activities to ensure product performance and quality
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QC, production, supply chain and technical service
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Paint Technology or similar
* Strong knowledge of polymers, resins, and pigment technologies
* Experience in formulation of water and solvent based systems
