Chemist (Operations) 30-35k+ Bonus

Permanent – on site
As a chemist with a background in chemistry you will be assisting the formulations / blending scheduling tests, dispatching samples and general lab activities to provide comprehensive chemistry laboratory support. As chemistry lab technician the role will also offer some support to the broader technology services areas.
As chemist within more of a a pilot plant / ops setting you will be responsible for upholding the quality and safety standards of operations. As chemist you will progress to interpret test results, spot errors/trends and propose next steps for the work to play key role in defining best practice in our laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and blending of formulations following predefined systems scheduling analytical and performance tests, and providing guidance to project leaders on the most efficient way to achieve their requirements.
* Assist in lab priorities developing knowledge in performance testing, science and analytical testing.
* Proactively contribute to the high safety standard of the group adhere to safety systems.
* Liaise with internal groups and external service providers to ensure analytical, bench and testing are delivered to a high-quality standard and against established timelines.
* Contribute to lab improvement activities.
* Contribute to operations improvement activities onsite, including lab management and process development
* Plan, lead and carry out discrete work elements
* Run or schedule analytical tests to evaluate performance and reporting of data/observations.
* Interact and communicate effectively with internal contacts as required to conduct laboratory work.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required:
* Chemistry Background in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Process chemistry, Industrial chemistry, formulation chemistry or some analytical chemistry degree or equivalent
* Some lab experience preferred
* Lab technician / assistant experience
* Formulation experience desirable
* Strong commitment to HSSE and quality values.
* Some lab-based experience.
* Ability to drive work forward to meet research targets and timelines.
Demonstration of effective multi-tasking, prioritisation and time-management skills whilst maintaining high standards of work.
