Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Planning Policy, Development Management, and Strategic Planning teams.
* Oversee the delivery of the Local Plan and ongoing minor and major projects.
* Provide expert advice to elected members, senior officers, and stakeholders.
* Champion innovation in planning and ensure compliance with national legislation.
* Foster strong partnerships with developers, neighbouring authorities, and the community.
About You
You will be a visionary leader with:
* RTPI membership and a relevant planning qualification.
* Extensive experience in local authority planning, including strategic and operational leadership.
* A track record of delivering complex planning projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong political awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Passion for place-making, sustainability, and community-led development.
