About the Role:
Liverpool Children's Services are seeking experienced Children's Advanced Social Workers (minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience) to join our Permanence Teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Children in Care (CIC) and Looked After Children (LAC), contributing to long-term improved outcomes through stable placements and high-quality care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with children and young people to provide direct engagement and therapeutic support.
Conduct care and placement planning, minimising risk and ensuring stability for each child.
Use a methodical, organised approach to case management, promoting improved long-term outcomes.
Support the implementation of best practice within the Permanence Teams, collaborating with colleagues and partner agencies.
Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives within Liverpool Children's Services.Essential Skills & Experience:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in children's social care.
Significant experience with Children in Care (CIC) and Looked After Children (LAC).
Strong skills in direct work, engagement, and relationship-building with children and young people.
Excellent care planning, risk assessment, and organisational skills.
