Children's Deputy Manager - Knowsley, Liverpool

Shift pattern: 2 on 4 off, with some days likely needed within the office on a 9am to 5pm basis
Hourly Rate: £14.14 - £16,16 per hour - dependent on experience and qualifications
£60 per sleep - minimum of 10 sleeps per month
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Children's Deputy Manager in overseeing daily operations within the residential setting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
Support the planning and delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs and circumstances.
Supervise and motivate a team of care staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures and protocols.
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance service quality.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's care, incidents, and staff supervision.
Participate in staff training and development activities to ensure team competence and compliance with best practices.
Build strong relationships with children, their families, and external agencies to support holistic care and support plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience working within a children's residential setting or similar environment.
Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Proficient in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Relevant first aid certification is desirable.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts as required.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to residential care settings.
Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
