Job Description
Deputy Children's Home Manager – Rochdale
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded children’s residential care provider for a Deputy Manager to support one of their homes in Rochdale – working Monday to Friday, 9–5.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a management role while maintaining regular working hours. You’ll be part of a committed, child-focused team supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a stable, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in the daily operational running of the home
Provide guidance and support to care staff during standard hours
Monitor care plans, safeguarding processes, and quality standards
Assist with audits, compliance, and staff supervision
Ensure the home meets regulatory requirements and promotes best practice
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards) – desirable
At least 2 years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
Good knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted standards
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Full UK Driving Licence – essential
