Quality & Assurance Manager – Children’s Residential Services
Location: West Midlands
Salary: circa £60,000 per annum + benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking a Quality & Assurance Manager to join a respected and growing children’s residential care provider in the West Midlands. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, embedding quality across services, and supporting the delivery of outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities

Lead on all aspects of quality, compliance, and service improvement across a portfolio of children’s homes.
*
Conduct internal audits, mock inspections, and support homes to achieve and maintain ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
*
Work collaboratively with Registered Managers and senior leaders to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
*
Monitor safeguarding, incidents, and key performance data, ensuring lessons learned are embedded across services.
*
Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to promote consistent compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.
*
Act as the organisation’s champion for continuous improvement and best practice in residential childcare.
About You
*
Proven experience in children’s residential care, ideally as a Registered Manager, Responsible Individual, or Quality Lead.
*
In-depth understanding of Ofsted frameworks, Regulation 44/45 processes, and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
*
Strong ability to combine strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to supporting services.
*
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
*
Hold (or be working towards) a relevant qualification such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
