Job Description

About the Role Equitas are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Care Workers on behalf of our client to join a supportive team in Fallowfield, Manchester. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people and thriving in a rewarding, challenging environment. You will be supporting children aged 11–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The care home has capacity for up to 3 children, allowing a close and supportive environment. Shift Patterns * Day shifts run 8:00 am – 11:00 pm (predominantly long days), however they will occasionally be 8:00 am – 3:00 pm * Night shifts run 10:30 pm – 8:30 am * Day staff work an average of 35 hours per week (some weeks more, some weeks less) * Night staff work an average of 30–40 hours per week depending on the rota * Shift patterns can be discussed during the interview for shortlisted candidates Requirements * Ideally hold a Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care, but this is not essential if you have significant experience working with SEMH, EBD, or in similar settings * Genuine passion for supporting children and helping them achieve their potential * Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and nights as required * Strong communication, patience, and resilience What’s on Offer * Ongoing training and professional development * Supportive management team and positive working environment * Opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives How to Apply If you are committed, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people, we would love to hear from you.
