Children’s - Residential Practitioner  Are you a Children’s Residential Practitioner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Residential Practitioner to work in a Children’s service based in Leeds. Pay Rates: £13.69 - £14.36 Umbrella Information the Role: Successful candidates will be offered 22 Hours per week for 6 weeks initially with views to extend. Shift times are 09:30-22:00/ 09:30- 23:00- sleep- 07:00-10:00. Week 1- Mon/ Thu/ Sun. Week 2- Wed/ Sat. Week 3- Tue/ Fri What you will be doing: Undertake key worker role, implement care plans, conduct risk assessments and devise support and health plans Provide and maintain a safe, stimulating and secure living and learning environment supporting the day-to-day physical and emotional needs of children Work with professionals and communities of origin to sustain links and understand past problems Provide appropriate levels of personal care for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs, including bathing, toileting, dressing, changing and feeding as appropriate Ensure that all records are accurate, up to date and GDPR compliant Manage complex and challenging behaviour in an assertive, restorative and sensitive manner Work to reduce the likelihood that a child/young person becomes criminalised, encouraging restorative approaches and outcomes Day-to-day management including deployment of staff ensuring appropriate cover in the home Responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager Lead and participate in the planning and delivery of opportunities for young people Supervision and appraisal of staff in line with associated policies and procedures, including participation in recruitment, selection, induction, training and support processes as required Administer and record prescribed and other medication and supervise others in this activity in line with Medication Policy and Procedure Provide reports, minutes, maintain records, attend, and chair meetings and reviews as required. Specialist knowledge skills and experience: Building relationships and actively engaging with individual and groups of children and young people Adapting to changing circumstances and develop solutions to issues Demonstrate skills in managing conflict and aggression using de-escalation techniques Recent experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults who may have emotional or behavioural difficulties, in either a paid or voluntary capacity NVQ Diploma Level 3 in registered Childcare A social work qualification is an advantage but not essential to appointment What we offer: 24 hour one on one specialist consultant based within your geographical area 4Recruitment Services Employee Benefits Programme Our own dedicated payroll support ensuring you get the full benefits of your payment Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
