Children’s Residential Senior Support Worker – Reading £13.60–£14.50 per hour £50 per sleep-in Permanent, 40 hours per week Shift pattern: 7:30am–10pm + sleep-ins (10pm–7:30am) Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? About the Role: As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in our care. You’ll lead shifts, mentor staff, and ensure the home runs smoothly while creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage shifts, ensuring children are safe, supported, and engaged. * Support the continual assessment and development planning for each child. * Mentor and supervise new staff, promoting teamwork and retention. * Liaise with internal and external professionals to meet care needs. * Chair meetings, reviews, and discussions as required. * Ensure compliance with financial, administrative, and medication procedures. * Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment. * Promote positive relationships between staff, children, and families.
