Children’s Residential Support Worker – Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties
Pay: £12.86 – £13.50 per hour

Applebough Recruitment is seeking dedicated Children’s Residential Support Workers to provide exceptional care and support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll be part of a team committed to creating safe, nurturing, and homely environments where young people can flourish.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Building trusting relationships through key working sessions and daily support.
* Supporting children to develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.
* Supervising and facilitating family contact.
* Organising and participating in fun, engaging activities.
* Maintaining accurate records and attending meetings with professionals.
* Assisting with household routines to ensure homes remain welcoming and well-kept.

What We’re Looking For
* Genuine passion for working with children and young people
* Minimum 6 months’ recent paid UK experience in a care or support role
* Clean UK driving licence (essential)
* NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or above)
* Mandatory training certifications (MAPA preferred)
* Flexible, reliable, and confident in all aspects of care
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
