Supply Care Solutions are looking for a Children's Residential Support Worker in Swansea.

SALARY: up to £16.00 (residential) - £18.00 (emergency care) ph (umbrella)
TYPE: LOCUM Children’s Residential Support Worker
HOURS: Shifts will include, but will not be limited to:
- Long day 8 am to 10 pm or 12.00-24.00 ect
- Wakeful nights 10 pm to 8 am or 19.00-07.00 ect
- Sleep in 10 pm to 8 am.
Qualifications and experience (Essential requirement)
1. 6 Months+ experience in children residential settings
2. QCF Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People or equivalent
3. Full Uk Driving License
Job duties
You will to support young people on a shift-by-shift basis and longer term placements may be required for emergency teams. You will predominantly be required to work at any of the Authority’s Registered Children’s Homes however, there may be occasions where you will be supporting children in their own homes or alternative arrangements.
You may also provide emergency care support to Children at short notice whilst care planning is undertaken and longer-term arrangements put in place. Locations will vary depending on the needs of the child, this will generally be within the boundaries of Swansea Council but there may be occasions when support is required out of the county.
Requirements for our Residential Childcare Support Workers
- Proven experience in working in a children's residential service
- Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
- QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care Children and Young People or equivalent
- Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
- Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Training in "restraint and de-escalation", "PMVA" or "MAPA"
