Job Description
Do you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people? Connect2SocialWork are looking for dedicated Support Workers for a 3-bed EBD Children's Home in the Waltham Abbey area.
The main purpose of the job is to provide advice, assistance and support to young people, safeguarding their welfare at all times. To attend to young people's practical, physical and emotional needs. To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
REQUIREMENTS:
Secondary Education (essential) / NVQ Level
Awareness of safeguarding issues and ability to safeguard the welfare of young people
Awareness of young people's needs and safeguarding issues
Good communication skills
Current clean driving licence (desirable)
Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours
Previous experience of working within a team in a children's home
RATE OF PAY:
Up to £13.50 per hour
Sleep-ins paid at £50/sleep
