Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Yeovil, South Somerset, UK
Salary: £30,062 to £34,488 (including sleep allowance)
Job Description:

Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting young people to participate in activities and develop independence skills appropriate to their age
* Creating a warm, homely, and supportive environment within the residential setting
* Safely managing challenging behaviours with empathy and patience
* Promoting the health, safety, and well-being of children and young people
* Maintaining thorough knowledge of each individual’s care plan and communication preferences
* Supporting and encouraging young people to take responsibility for their actions and choices
* Building strong, professional relationships with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other involved professionals
* Ensuring the safety and protection of all residents at all times

What we’re looking for:
* Experience in a children’s residential or youth support setting is desirable but not essential
* Background in healthcare, social care, or related fields is advantageous
* A full UK driver’s license is essential, as you may need to transport young people
* Over 21 years of age due to safeguarding and insurance requirements
* Able to commute to Yeovil with reliable transportation
* Passionate about supporting young people with emotional and behavioral challenges
