Team Leader x2 – Children’s Residential Care Homes (Leyland)
Salary: £29,600 per annum + £50 per sleep-in (approx. 10 per month)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and lone working)
Responsible to: Deputy Manager and Registered Manager
Are you a compassionate, motivated leader with a passion for making a difference in children’s lives?
We’re looking for dedicated Team Leaders to join a Children’s Residential service in Leyland, supporting young people to thrive in a safe, caring, and nurturing environment.
The Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our residential homes. Working closely with the Registered and Deputy Managers, you’ll lead by example—supporting, guiding, and inspiring your team to deliver outstanding care to our young people.
You will be able to
  * 
    Ensure the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of each child are met within a warm, supportive, and professional environment.
  * 
    Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of shifts, ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely.
  * 
    Contribute to the delivery of high-quality care in line with Ofsted regulations, Government guidance, and the organisation’s policies and procedures.
  * 
    Help achieve and maintain an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.
  * 
    Support a positive organisational culture rooted in company core values—care, respect, and empowerment.
About You
You’ll be a confident, resilient, and caring individual with:
  * 
    Experience working in a children’s residential or similar care setting.
  * 
    Strong leadership and communication skills.
  * 
    A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.
  * 
    The flexibility to work a varied rota including sleep-ins, weekends, and lone working.
  * 
    (Ideally) an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.
