Your new role
As a Locum Social Worker within the Permanence Team, you will manage a caseload of children with plans for long-term fostering, adoption, or special guardianship. Your responsibilities will include:
Undertaking assessments and developing care plans
Preparing reports for court proceedings and permanency panels
Liaising with foster carers, adopters, and multi-agency professionals
Ensuring each child's voice is heard and their needs are met throughout their journey to permanence

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
Registration with Social Work England
Experience in children's social care, ideally within a permanence or long-term care setting
Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
