Children and Young Person Support Worker – Residential and Community Support Service Location Oldham Salary £13.00 per hour Hours Days, Monday to Friday with some weekend flexibility as required Contract Temporary to permanent opportunity Essential Requirements Experience working with children and young people in a support or care setting Understanding of safeguarding and promoting welfare of vulnerable individuals Ability to build positive, professional relationships and manage challenging behaviour Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends when required Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one Right to work in the UK The Role You will be working as part of a frontline support team delivering high quality care and guidance to children and young people with varying levels of need. The role involves providing consistent emotional and practical support, promoting independence, and contributing to a safe and structured environment. You will be expected to maintain accurate records, follow care plans, and work in alignment with safeguarding procedures. The role requires a calm, consistent approach and the ability to de escalate situations professionally when required.
