We are currently recruiting for childrens support workers for local authority based in Cardiff. Supporting children emotional behaviour disorders, from the ages of 11 - 17 who have experienced a break down within their family home or may have experienced crisis in their lives, resulting in exhibiting a range or trauma based symptoms and behaviours. They are likely to feel vulnerable, anxious or distressed.
Your role will be to ensure the patients are able to live as independent a life as possible by assisting with their every day lives when needed.
Job Requirements:
Experience working with challenging children
DBS on update service (Desirable)
Minimum 3 years references no gaps
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
Good communication and teamwork skills
Good at problem-solving and ability to make quick decisionsKey Responsibilities

Maintain and strengthen their relationships with families, siblings and other people they identify as significant to their lives
Attending appointments
