Children with Disabilities Social Worker - Cheshire West & Chester Council
Location: Ellesmere Port (The Portal)
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people with disabilities across Cheshire West. We're seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Team, delivering high-quality statutory services and ensuring the best outcomes for our most vulnerable young people.
About the Role:
As a Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Team, you will:
Provide a statutory social work service for children and young people with complex needs and disabilities.
Complete assessments, care plans and reviews in line with legislation and policy.
Work collaboratively with families, carers and partner agencies to promote independence and wellbeing.
Undertake safeguarding work including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries where appropriate.
Support children and families through transitions, including preparing for adulthood.
Maintain accurate, timely and reflective case recordings.Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.
Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
Excellent assessment, communication and partnership-working skills.
