Childrens Assessment Social Worker
Are you a committed and compassionate Social Worker ready to make a real impact? We are seeking a skilled Children's Assessment Social Worker to join our frontline team in the Midlands.
In this key role, you will be the first point of contact for children and families referred to children's services, carrying out timely assessments to identify risk, need, and appropriate levels of support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Undertaking high-quality, timely Child and Family Assessments under Section 17 and 47 of the Children Act.
Engaging with children, families, and professionals to gather and analyse information.
Making clear, evidence-based decisions on next steps, including Child in Need, Child Protection, or Early Help pathways.
Preparing reports for case conferences, legal proceedings, and reviews.
Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and support children.
We're looking a Childrens Assessment Social Worker which:
Is a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Has experience in frontline children's services, ideally within an assessment team.
Can manage a fast-paced caseload and make confident, evidence-informed decisions.
Is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families.
