Job Description
Children’s Social Worker – Southwark Council
Pay: Up to £35.00 per hour
With over 20+ years of experience, SW Locums has been supporting Social Workers in finding roles that match their skills and career goals.
We are currently recruiting experienced Children’s Social Workers to join the All Age Disability (AAD) Team in London, supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with learning disabilities and complex needs.
About the Role:
• Undertake Care Act and Children & Families assessments
• Develop outcome-focused support plans
• Deliver safeguarding and empowering interventions
• Work across a 0–25 service covering both children’s and adult legislation
• Promote independence through a strength-based approach
Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Relevant experience in children’s services or disability teams
• Strong assessment, safeguarding and case management skills
• Ability to manage complex cases and support families effectively
