About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people living in our residential care home.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children who have experienced trauma, neglect, or other adverse circumstances. You will work within a nurturing, safe, and structured environment, supporting the children’s emotional, social, and educational development and helping them build positive relationships and life skills.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day care, support, and supervision of children in a residential setting
*
Build trusting, professional relationships with young people
*
Support children in line with their individual care plans
*
Promote a safe and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued
*
Assist with daily routines, including meals, education, activities, and personal care where appropriate
*
Encourage and support participation in hobbies, community activities, and life skills development
*
Work closely with families, social workers, therapists, and other professionals
*
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in line with safeguarding and care standards
*
Follow organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour management protocols
*
Participate in regular training and team meetings

Experience working with children or young people
*
A genuine passion for making a difference in children’s lives
*
Resilience, patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
*
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
*
Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
*
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required
