Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 Per Annum + OT (Dependent On Experience and Qualification)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (40 Hours PW, Monday – Friday)

W H Bence, based in Yate, Bristol, is a leading specialist coachbuilder, crafting innovative mobile medical clinics for the NHS and private health sector, command and control vehicles for emergency services, fire appliances, educational vehicles, and other prestigious projects.
Chiller Engineer – The Role:
Due to expansion, WH Bence is looking for an experienced Chiller Engineer. We are looking to increase our team of engineers which look after MRI chilled water system throughout the UK, providing preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs.
Some initial training would be carried out in Yate with this period the accommodation costs are paid.
Chiller Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to Complete on site and off site routine maintenance visits on chilled water systems
- Carry out onsite repairs and maintenance on A/C equipment
- Attend off site equipment breakdowns and repairs
- Attend routine maintenance visits
- Field breakdowns over the phone and assist service engineers with phone support
- Maintain and order necessary filters and parts for stock and ongoing repairs
- Ensure job cards from third-party visits are requested and uploaded onto company software
- Perform repairs and maintenance on chiller equipment
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers to develop and improve existing and new chiller systems
- Monitor chiller emails and respond accordingly, working with Bence service support
Chiller Engineer – You:
- Preferable 5 years’ experience FGAS qualified engineer
- Previous experience in servicing chilled water/refrigeration equipment is essential
- Must have mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Be able to use own initiative to conduct fault finding
- Must hold a full UK Driving License as this position involves travel
- Air conditioning knowledge would be an advantage but not critical
