Chocolate Production Manager
Salary circa £45,000, Full-Time, Monday to Friday (min. 35 hours/week)
Are you passionate about chocolate and experienced in food production? We're looking for a Chocolate Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our client’s busy chocolate facility in just outside Wetherby.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, forward-thinking production leader to take ownership of a growing department within a creative and dynamic food business. You’ll play a key role in managing the talented chocolate team, improving processes, ensuring quality, adhering to food safety compliance, and bringing delicious new products to life.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Overseeing daily chocolate production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
Leading, training, and motivating a team of 5 (and growing!) chocolatiers
Planning and managing production schedules to meet customer demand
Ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations (HACCP, SALSA)
Collaborating with New Product Development and Technical teams on new recipes and seasonal creations
Contributing ideas for new products and producing costed samples
Monitoring inventory of raw materials and packaging
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in food manufacturing – ideally within retail
Ideally have hands-on experience working with chocolate
Food Safety & Hygiene Level 3 (minimum)
Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills
HACCP knowledge
A genuine passion for chocolate and a keen eye for detail
