Field Service Engineer
Territory: Athlone to Dublin region (Ireland)
Location: Ideally based in the Athlone to Dublin areas
Our client is a privately owned €50 million turnover company that services multi-vendor laboratory equipment for the pharmaceutical sector.
With over 250 service engineers, they have the highest number of field service engineers in the world totally dedicated to servicing and maintaining chromatography capital equipment. Because of the size of this company, they can offer amazing progression routes for maintenance engineers.
They immediately seek a Field Service Engineer to add to their highly successful service function in Ireland servicing a diverse range of chromatography equipment from Athlone to Dublin across the M4/M6 corridor.
The Requirements of the Field Service Engineer role:
* You will have either been a super user of HPLC/Chromatography, GCMS, LCMS equipment in a laboratory environment as a Lab Manager, Scientist that has trouble shooted/ first fixed/triaged chromatography equipment on site in the lab
* OR you will have been an On-Site Laboratory Equipment Engineer who has undertaken the trouble shooting, breakdown repairs of Chromatographic Equipment
* OR you already are a Chromatography Equipment Field Service Engineer or Mechatronics Engineer repairing HPLC equipment right now.
* You will have experience of servicing/maintaining/trouble shooting equipment Chromatography Capital Equipment in a GLP/ GMP environment gained from working in, or servicing equipment for, the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, CRO or Biotechnology industries
* Must hold a Full Irish driving license & valid Irish Passport
* Prepared to travel throughout the territory and nationally as required – but mainly territory based, the territory being from Athlone to Dublin
* Excellent communication skills are required as this is a customer facing role
The Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:
* As the Field Service Engineer, you will travel to customer site to undertake routine planned maintenance and breakdown support at key customer sites in line with my client’s service plans
* Perform routine/non routine PM/OQ and PQ
* Perform Chromatography equipment troubleshooting and breakdown repairs
* Support other engineers when required
* Provide technical support to customer queries
* Provide a conduit for customers and the technical support team
* Evaluate incoming fault reports and initiate appropriate measures
* Perform onsite field servicing duties including, service, validation, repair, accurately and in a timely fashion on multi- brand Chromatography Equipment
* Build and maintains relationship with existing and new customers on customer site
* Manage and be accountable for stock/spare parts allocated to the service call
* Give remote trouble shooting support via phone and email to Irish customers where required
* Maintain expert knowledge of the chromatography products and service engineering
