The CI Engineer will drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, enhancing operational efficiencies and reducing waste. Based in Birmingham, this role is pivotal in fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Description
Identify and implement process improvements to optimise manufacturing workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
Analyse performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop and deliver training programmes to promote continuous improvement methodologies.
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles across departments.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all improvement projects.
Monitor the success of initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Act as a key liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to align improvement goals.Profile
A successful CI Engineer should have:
A strong background in continuous improvement within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Degree or time served apprenticeship in an Engineering related discipline.
Engineering/manufacturing experience in a precision manufacturing environment, to include Lean tools and techniques
Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, machining, assembly, test and CNC machine tools.
Proven ability with problem solving tools and techniques.
Knowledge of process related standards.
Understanding of CAD tools (SolidWorks, SolidCAM) desirable.
Understanding of Mechanical drawings.
Nuclear/Defence industry experience and knowledge of Defence standards and accreditations desirable.Job Offer
