Civil CAD Technician
First People Solutions is working with a well-established consulting engineer who are looking to grow their team with the addition of a Civil CAD Technician in Glasgow.
Are you an experienced Technician with a background in the rail industry or heavy civil engineering? Looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to work on exciting projects? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Our client is a respected consultancy delivering innovative engineering solutions across the rail, transportation, energy, and structural sectors. As a CAD Technician, you will:
Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for a variety of civil engineering projects
Ensure all outputs comply with relevant industry standards and meet design specifications
Collaborate closely with project leads and the wider design team
Support the smooth delivery of projects
What We're Looking For
HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, CAD, or related discipline
3-5 years' experience in a UK design engineering environment
Strong proficiency in CAD software, ideally MicroStation, with experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D also valuable
A proactive team player with excellent attention to detail
