Civil Engineer / Civil 3D BIM Modeller

I'm currently working with an innovative, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer / Civil 3D BIM Modeller to join its growing civil engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with strong Civil 3D and BIM modelling experience to work on a diverse range of high-profile projects across sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, commercial, residential and industrial developments.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative design environment, working alongside engineers, architects and specialist consultants to deliver coordinated, efficient and technically robust engineering solutions.
The Role
As a Civil Engineer / Civil 3D BIM Modeller, you'll be responsible for developing and coordinating civil engineering designs and models while supporting project delivery across multiple disciplines.
The role offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through to construction, with a strong emphasis on digital design, BIM integration and innovative engineering approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and develop civil engineering models using Autodesk Civil 3D.
Support the design of drainage, highways, earthworks and external infrastructure.
Coordinate civil engineering information within BIM environments.
Work closely with structural, architectural and MEP teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
Assist with the development of below-ground utility layouts and infrastructure coordination.
Contribute to drainage strategies and flood mitigation solutions.
Prepare technical drawings, models and project documentation.
Engage with local authorities, utility providers and other external stakeholders where required.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience working within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
Good understanding of BIM processes and coordinated design delivery.
Knowledge of drainage, highways, earthworks and utility design principles.
Experience producing detailed engineering models and technical drawings.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Desirable
Experience using Revit or willingness to develop Revit capabilities.
Familiarity with InfoDrainage or similar hydraulic modelling software.
Understanding of UK design standards, approvals and adoption processes.
Progression towards professional chartership with a relevant institution.
