 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer to join a leading UK civil and structural engineering consultancy, specialising in urban regeneration, residential, and mixed-use development projects.
 The company is known for delivering engineering solutions across a wide range of projects. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that works closely with architects, developers, and contractors to create practical, innovative, and community-focused designs.
 This is an excellent role for a graduate or early-career civil engineer (up to 2 years' experience) who is looking to build hands-on design and analysis skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. You'll gain valuable experience in highways and drainage design (S278/S38), using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage, while contributing to the design and delivery of real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design and analysis of highways, drainage, and infrastructure schemes for residential and commercial developments.
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage to produce detailed design drawings and 3D models.
Prepare engineering calculations, design reports, and technical documentation.
Support senior engineers with project coordination and client communication.
Contribute to sustainable and practical design solutions aligned with industry standards.
Ensure all work meets relevant design codes, specifications, and best practices.
 Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Up to 2 years' experience in civil or infrastructure engineering (consultancy experience desirable).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage.
Understanding of highways and drainage design principles (S278/S38 experience beneficial).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Motivated to develop professionally and progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
