Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer ·You'll work on a varied pipeline of schemes (education, healthcare, industrial, office, commercial and residential), not just one "copy/paste" project type. ·You'll be supported by an established civil + structural team with a genuinely hands-on engineering approach from concept through completion. ·You'll keep developing your technical toolkit with modern modelling and drainage/highway design software. You'll be joining a well-established Welsh civil and structural engineering consultancy with decades of delivery across public and private sector projects of all sizes. The team is known for a personal, user-friendly service with a strong emphasis on technical excellence, and they take projects from inception to completion. What you'll be doing day-to-day as an Infrastructure Engineer In this Infrastructure Engineer position, you will: ·Design highway infrastructure packages, including S38 / S278 works, from early feasibility through to detailed design and approvals. ·Produce drainage designs for adoption and approvals, including S104 / S98, from concept to completion. ·Coordinate closely with civil and structural colleagues to ensure external works integrate smoothly with overall site and building design. ·Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and supporting technical information to a high standard. ·Contribute to quality, consistency and continuous improvement in how designs are delivered across multiple projects. What you'll need to bring (must-haves) To succeed as an Infrastructure Engineer, you will ideally have: ·Proven experience delivering highway and drainage designs (S38/S278 and S104/S98) from start to finish. ·Strong working knowledge of MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, and Civil 3D. ·Clear communication skills and the confidence to collaborate in a mixed-discipline team. ·A practical, solutions-led mindset and pride in producing robust, buildable designs. What will make you stand out ·Foul pumping station design experience. ·Strong knowledge of SuDS, flow control and attenuation/balancing facilities. ·Experience designing external works for residential and/or commercial developments. ·Near-chartered status (e.g., ICE/IStructE) - helpful, but not essential.
