My client, a diverse, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the lively city of Liverpool.
Essential Criteria:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
Demonstrable experience of having worked in a consultancy-based role
Hold Chartered Engineer status, or actively working to attain this
A good understanding of steel and concrete design, with reference to Eurocodes and similar framework guidelines
Commercial awareness of project delivery
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Standard Security Clearance level (or the willingness to undergo the appropriate vetting procedures)
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to possess the following skills:
Knowledge of blast, seismic, or other dynamic analysis
Structural design of aluminium or glass
Awareness of computational fluid dynamics and/or non-linear finite element analysis
In the varied role of Civil Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of experts in the field, with a view to developing your career and progress through the ranks. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
Liaise with a number of clients to establish project requirements and deliver the desired outcomes
Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders, internal and external, to develop design strategies
Deliver design duties when working on a range of design and build projects, adhering to performance specifications, attending sites and monitoring compliance requirements
Support an array of contractors to ensure construction works comply with project specifications
Work with manufacturers to design and develop new products
Deliver projects to the highest of standards, completed on time and within budget
Supervise the completion of structural calculations
Complete vehicle dynamics assessments in relation to the specification and design of hostile vehicle mitigation
Mentoring a team of junior colleagues
