Job Description
My client, an independent, creative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the coastal city of Swansea, on the stunning Gower Peninsula.
Essential Criteria:
A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
Experience of carrying out Drainage Impact Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and Flood Risk Assessments
Experience of working with roads, highways, and infrastructure, including adoptions
Previous experience of having worked within a consultancy role
Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including Civils 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and others
Full UK Driver's Licence
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to possess the following:
Attained Chartered Engineer status, or actively working toward attaining this
Excellent time management skills
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Familiarity with the local region
In your new role of Civil Engineer, you will join an expert team of design engineers, with a view to developing your career during your time with the company. The role will involve several diverse responsibilities, including:
Work with Drainage Strategies, Drainage Impact Assessments, and Flood Risk Assessments
Plan and design a range of roads, highways, and other infrastructure projects
Organise the adoption of newly constructed infrastructure, ensuring it meets required standards and specifications
Support senior engineering colleagues and managers with the delivery of various projects, within the agreed budgets and timescales
Provide assistance to Senior Engineers in project preparation, including calculations, specifications, etc.
Assist the Design Team with the development of accurate drawings and models
Carry out site inspections and surveys
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a range of projects
