My client, a well-respected, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the bustling, diverse town of Warrington.
Essential Criteria:
A Degree or Higher Degree in Civil Engineering
Demonstrable experience of having worked in a design-based role, in a consultancy setting
Experience of having produced flood risk and drainage strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
Competent in the use of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and similar software packages
The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experienceIt would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Civil Engineer to have the following:
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
Strong technical skills, and an analytical mindsetAs a Civil Engineer, you will be joining a specialist team of engineers, working on a number of high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:
Contributing to a number of projects, developing flood risk and drainage strategies
Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes and budgetary restrictions
Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including drawings, calculations, and models
Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders
Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
Developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relations
