No.: CJD(phone number removed)G Location: Based near Glasgow Salary: £30,0000 - £35,000 This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a professional, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, currently in the process of establishing themselves as a market-leading team of design professionals in the Water and wider Civil Engineering sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a talented, driven Civil Engineer with good knowledge of drainage and non-infrastructure design. You will work alongside a fresh team of design engineers, based near the quirky, vibrant city of Glasgow. Benefits for the role of Civil Engineer include (but are not limited to): Highly-competitive salary Employee Pension Scheme Generous annual leave Dedication to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with substantial career progression opportunities Delivery on a number of exciting engineering projects across the local region Belonging to a new, enthusiastic team of talented designers Responsibilities for the role of Civil Engineer include: Delivering an exciting range of projects and developments across the residential, commercial, and industrial landscapes Liaising with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors Preparing technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice Acting as a representative of the company at site visits, client meetings, etc. Required skills and experience for the role of Civil Engineer include: A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline Demonstrable experience of working in a design capacity, within a UK consultancy setting Experience of working with water-based, non-infrastructure projects (such as reservoirs, water treatment plants, etc.) Good knowledge of drainage systems and strategies Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) Experience of preparing technical documents Prior experience of liaising closely with clients and stakeholders across the industry Good communication and interpersonal skills Desirable skills and experience for the role of Civil Engineer include: A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline A determination to attain Chartered Status Hold a full, valid UK driving licence Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments Experience of Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS) Experience of working in a public-facing role If you are interested in the role of Civil Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
