Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering Technical Lead to join our client's project management team during Pre‑FEED on a multi‑billion dollar petrochemical expansion project.

The successful candidate will provide civil and structural technical leadership and oversee the quality of the contractor's deliverables. This major CAPEX development includes a world‑scale mixed‑feed steam cracker integrated with significant refinery upgrades to increase olefins production, convert fuel oil to higher‑value products, expand utilities, and reduce GHG emissions.

Applicants must be civil engineering subject matter experts with experience on large‑scale petrochemical projects (or similar). The role includes leading civil input on an extensive modularisation project including the development of a heavy‑haul route, and civil / structural design for onshore and offshore facilities. Responsibilities include guiding contractor design and analysis, supporting weight management, overseeing complex underground works, and contributing to blast risk assessments. The role also requires reviewing contractor deliverables for compliance, ensuring alignment with specifications, standards, codes, and regulatory requirements, and stewarding civil/structural engineering standards.

Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills are essential, along with prior leadership experience on major oil & gas CAPEX projects.

This role is Inside IR35. Advertised rates are PAYE. The position is office‑based for a minimum of four days per week
