Job Description

Aqua-Tech Recruitment are recruiting for a Civil Project Engineer to support the delivery of water treatment projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on critical infrastructure schemes, supporting the successful delivery of civil works from design through to completion.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating technical delivery, managing documentation, and supporting site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Support the delivery of civil engineering works on water treatment projects

  * 

    Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals

  * 

    Assist with planning and programme coordination

  * 

    Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers

  * 

    Ensure works are delivered in line with quality and compliance standards

  * 

    Prepare and manage RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation

  * 

    Support procurement of materials and subcontractors

  * 

    Assist with cost tracking, variations, and reporting

Requirements

  * 

    Experience in a Project Engineer or Site Engineer role within civil engineering

  * 

    Background in water, utilities, or infrastructure projects

  * 

    Good understanding of:

      * 

        Concrete structures

      * 

        Drainage and pipework

      * 

        General civil engineering practices

  * 

    HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)

  * 

    Strong organisational and communication skills

Desirable

  * 

    Experience working with UK water authorities (e.g. Severn Trent Water)

  * 

    Knowledge of NEC contracts

  * 

    SMSTS or SSSTS

  * 

    Temporary Works awareness
