Job Description
Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Site Agent on behalf of a large national civil engineering main contractor to oversee delivery of a large regional scheme near Coalville.
The company delivers key infrastructure solutions in the form of highways, cycle routes, public realm, rail and complex bridges/structures as main contractor nationwide through their many divisions. The contractor are part of a large £10bn+ turnover tier 1 company group but operate more as a compact business unit (purely delivering projects across Midlands, Yorkshire, North West up to £50m value).
Initial project is a new flagship scheme near Coalville. It is a £60m Highways Construction scheme spanning 9 sections which will ultimately run until back end of 2027. It involves a lot of work in live high speed road networks so knowledge & experience of TM is essential.
Responsibilities as Agent / Manager:
* Manage project / section at all setup & site stages
* Writing & updating site documentation
* Cost control with QS
* Attend & hold meetings on sites with stakeholders
* Temporary Works management
* Management of sub-contractors
* Project & progress reports
* H&S file updates & audits on site
* Coordination of site team: General Foremen & Site Engineers
* Keeping site file up to date regularly
Experience required:
* Candidates must have proven experience at Site Manager / Site Agent level with a principal contractor on Civil Engineering / Highways projects (values £10m+)
* Site Engineer background is advantageous
* Experience with contract changes, NEC3 / NEC4, cost control desired.
* Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree).
* Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Full Driver's License.
Remuneration:
A salary of up to £55,000 (dependent upon experience) plus:
1. Company vehicle or allowance
2. Fuel card for business milage
